Gender Is Not Masculine or Feminine

There’s a difference between gender and masculine/feminine energy. It’s hard but not impossible to separate the two. Exploring the difference is fruitful.

For example, I’m a cisgendered male, meaning I identify as the same gender I was assigned at birth. By definition, everything I do is male. When I say something, it’s something a male says. However, I have both masculine and feminine energy within me, albeit in different amounts. When I say something, it might come from my masculine energy or from my feminine energy. I can learn to develop and express both my masculine and feminine energies in healthy ways, making me a better and more complete person. In recent weeks, I’ve considered the ways I experience and express these different energies and what these energies even are. I’ve learned a lot about myself as a result, and I’ve become stronger and more loving.
